A Balbirnie House Wedding
Balbirnie House Hotel // OCT 2022
It was a beautiful Autumn day when I drove up the driveway to the famous Balbirnie House Hotel in Fife. The trees were that perfect orange colour and I was excited to get involved in Ashley & Russells big day. They has been planning for a while and were finally excited to celebrate now that we were past all the restrictions. I joined Ashley and the girls as they were getting ready upstairs.
Their two beautiful boys Rory and Joshua were a big part of the day and were having fun getting ready too! Once the boys were dressed they went downstairs to meet their Dad who looked very handsome in his kilt - well all the boys did!
Ashley looked absolutely stunning in her dress, it really suited her - so elegant!
Both Mum and Dad were very emotional when they saw their daughter for the first time.
They had a beautiful Humanist ceremony performed by Hazel - Rory played a major part too, keeping watch and making sure Mum & Dad done it right!
Afterwards we lined up all the guests for a beautiful confetti throw! As guests mingled inside we popped out to the beautiful gardens for group photos. It was a wee bit chilly by this point so well done to the girls for braving it!
Using the gorgeous trees and that Autumn light I took the couple a quick walk round the gardens for photos.
If the couple have children I always try to get a bit of time in as a family for photos. The boys were so good and we managed to get a few shots in!
We headed to the dining room for some very funny speeches.
Being winter we were finally able to get the sparklers out! I absolutely love these shots!
Finally the couple took to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife - they had fabulous entertainment from the We Are Tartan DJ’s and soon the floor was filled with guests! I left them to party the night away - thanks so much for having me at your beautiful Balbirnie House Wedding.
