A Falside Mill Wedding
FALSIDE MILL // JULY 2024
Today I headed up near St. Andrews for a beautiful Falside Mill Wedding. This venue is a barn venue with loads of different rooms to create your day. It also had a courtyard so guests can drink and socialise outside in the sun. Lucky for us it was a sunny day! I popped into the venue to grab some detail shots for Rachel & Thomas before heading to where Rachel was getting ready. They choose a colourful wildflower theme which absolutely tied in with the venue itself.
Thomas was also getting ready nearby so I popped over to give them a moment before they headed to the venue. They all looked swish in their kilts!
The brief for the day was lots of fun and lots of photos with the bridal party so I made sure to start early with the girls and get them all celebrating!
Rachel looked stunning in her dress and we got a first look with her Mum and Dad.
Rachel walked down the aisle at Falside Mill to meet her husband to be. I loved hearing the story of how they met and they included some Scottish traditions in their ceremony including drinking from the quaich.
Guests gathered in the courtyard for confetti and drinks as II took some family photos and then concentrated on the bridal party!
There are so many spaces to use at Falside Mill for photos.
I spent a few moments with the couple before they returned to enjoy their drinks reception. I try and give them as much time with their guests as possible and I knew I would be taking them back out after dinner.
The set up for dinner was beautiful. Just flowers and candles everywhere! Guests filtered in to take their seats for some very funny speeches!
After dinner the sun was a bit lower and giving off an evening glow so we headed out to the fields so that Rachel & Thomas could spend a few moments together.
It was then time for cake cutting and party! Guests surrounded the dance floor as Rachel & Thomas danced their first dance and then everyone joined in. It was so much fun the whole day really had the best party vibe! I left shortly after letting the couple and their guests enjoy the rest of the night. Such a gorgeous day! Thanks for having me!
