A Wedding at Venachar Lochside

VENACHAR LOCHSIDE // MAY 2024

Venachar Lochside is a peaceful venue situated alongside the picturesque Loch Venachar in Scotland, offering a serene setting for weddings. With its stunning views and contemporary amenities, this destination caters to couples seeking a wedding surrounded by beauty of nature. Sarah and Gareth loved the location and travelled up from England to have their wedding here. I joined Sarah as she was getting ready in a lodge on the other side of the loch.

It was an absolutely gorgeous morning with the sun shining. We had so much fun getting ready - a girly morning featuring Isla the dog.

Sarah looked absolutely stunning in her two piece Milla Nova wedding dress. Before we headed to the ceremony Sarah had a really special moment with both Mum and Dad which I absolutely love capturing on camera.

Arriving at Venachar Lochside there was a stunning outdoor set up on their lawn with views to die for! Gareth was relatively calm and ready to get married!

Sarah glowed as she walked down the aisle to meet Gareth. They had a beautiful ceremony performed by Claire the Humanist. We laughed and cried hearing all about how they met and their story together. I love a humanist ceremony - its so joyful and centred around the couple.

After the ceremony we threw confetti and guests gathered on the decking for drinks. I took advantage of the gorgeous set up and flowers by Alchemy Floral and created a vanity fair style shoot for the couple.

Guests were treated to some lovely Passionfruit Martinis and we managed to get Isla to sit still for some photos with her pawrents!

Gareth tried his hand at piping (not for the fainthearted!) and I quickly captured the beautiful decor upstairs before everyone sat for speeches.

After dinner the light was magical! So myself, Gareth and Sarah jumped in my car and headed along the road a bit to a quiet beach.. we were so luck with the weather!

Finally we cut the cake, Sarah and Gareth danced to Everlong (one of my favourite songs ever!) and they spent they evening with close family and friends singing and dancing away! It was such a lovely Venachar Lochside Wedding…Thanks so much for having me!
