Airth Castle Wedding
Date: 13th Sept 2019 // Venue: Airth Castle
On a day when the sun was splitting the sky, Laura and Paul tied the knot at the beautiful Airth Castle Hotel. Every wedding here is different as brides and grooms can choose to get married in the Castle or the Hotel and with all the grounds and gardens about, its great for photos! I met Laura in the hotel as she was getting ready with her maids.
Paul was getting ready at the house with all the guys. They opted for a second photographer meaning I could be in two places at once to capture more of the action.
The boys then headed to the Castle to greet guests and wait for the bride. The Castle was transformed by The Little White Cow who did a fantastic job with their decor.
Back at the hotel, Laura was getting into her dress and boy did she look stunning!
Her Dad, John, was stunned to see her for the first time in her dress.
They were marched up to the Castle by Tom the Piper.
Laura was walked down the aisle by both her Dad and Brother. Paul looked amazed when he saw her coming down the aisle. They opted for a non-religious ceremony performed by Colin McIlvenna. They also included readings from friends and an actual tying of the knot.
Guests gathered on the stairs for a group photo and then the bridal party gathered in.
Guests mingled outside in the sun as the bride and groom headed for their photos. One of the advantages of two photographers.
I took Laura and Paul round the back of the Castle where its a bit overgrown but looks great in photos and with the sun shining through the trees.
Inside the Castle is also pretty.
Rustic decor in the dinner room.
Tom the Piper marched all the guests down from the Castle to the reception room in the hotel to be seated for speeches. His final piece is to toast the happy couple.
I love capturing all the emotions and happiness during the speeches.
As a suprise for all the guests, singing waiters were hired to get the party started a wee bit earlier. The guests loved it and were up singing and dancing on their chairs.
As we got into the evening the bride and groom cut their cake before taking to the floor for their first dance as husband and wife.
Guests then joined them on the dance floor to party the night away. Congratulations to Laura and Paul, it was an amazing Airth Castle Wedding and I wish them all the best for the future.
