Isle of Bute Wedding
Venue: Loch Fad - Stravannan Bay
Iona and Allan had an epic plan for their day. Getting married on the shore of Loch Fad and then a marquee set up out by Stravannan. I think when I met up with them I was asking what the back up plan was if it rained…. I don’t think there was one. Luckily we didn’t need it. The sun was scorching, perfect day for an outdoor wedding. I met Iona in her house as she was getting ready.
The dress she chose was stunning and I loved the matching denim jackets.
Over at Loch Fad, set up was complete, guests were arriving and enjoying the sun!
The girls arrived looking stunning.
Iona and Allan got married with the view of the Loch in the background. They had a beautiful ceremony whilst guests looked on from the hay bale seats.
After a few group photos the couple jumped in one of the rowing boats for a quick sail on the Loch. I was lucky enough to line them up with the mountains of Arran for a stunning backdrop.
The views on the Loch made everything picture perfect.
We headed to the marquee at Stravannan where the fabulous Dispensary Bar was set up for cocktails and the guests had a choice of games.
Guests were invited into the marquee for cake cutting and speeches.
As evening fell we enjoyed drinks in the garden.
I took Allan and Iona to a nearby location for sunset photos. I love when the bride and groom come out in the evening, such beautiful light.
Opting out of a solo first dance, the couple invited all their family onto the dance floor to party the night away. Thank you so much for having me as your photographer, it was a beautiful Isle of Bute Wedding.
