Tying the knot at Cornhill Castle
CORNHILL CASTLE, BIGGAR // SEPT 2023
Cornhill Castle in Biggar is a historic venue with an elegant and classic feel, located in the beautiful Scottish countryside. The castle is a popular spot for weddings, events, and getaways, offering a serene retreat from modern life. With its stunning architecture and rich history, it attracts those looking for old-world charm. Today Aimee & Martin were welcoming their families and friends to watch them tie the knot at this stunning venue. I joined Aimee in the bridal suite as she was getting ready.
Martin arrived with his groomsmen looking smart in their kilts.
Back upstairs, Aimee got dressed with help from her Mum and then her Dad came to pick her up. The bridesmaids looked stunning in the orange colours and matched perfectly with the browns on the groomsman. Very Autumnal.
The Wedding ceremony took place in the marquee - they had a lovely humanist ceremony focused on them and their children. The moon gate was decorated with dried flowers and worked perfectly with their autumn theme.
Outside in the sun guests threw confetti and then we quickly rounded up Aimee and Martins kids as we wanted to get photos of them whilst they were clean! That way the kids could go and play for the rest of the day.
I took Aimee & Martin a walk round the castle for some photos on their own.
As guests were being seated for their wedding breakfast, the Castle was empty so we used this opportunity do go round the inside of the Castle, there are some beautiful spots - my favourite is the bar!
We had the speeches fore dinner and then after dinner, I popped them back outside for a few minutes just to get the last of the golden glow!
Finally it was time for cutting the fabulous cake and dancing! Everyone piled onto the dance floor to celebrate the newly weds. It was such a fun day, thank you for having me at your Cornhill Castle Wedding!
