Carlowrie Castle // Aug 2023

Carlowrie Castle in Scotland is an exceptional wedding venue with elegant architecture, stunning landscapes, and a personalized experience. The castle's turrets, gardens, vines and grounds provide endless opportunities for exquisite wedding photography. From intimate ceremonies in the Glasshouse to extravagant receptions in the Marquee, Carlowrie Castle ensures a magical and memorable day with attention to detail. Carlowrie really is a fairytale venue and today its time for Megan & Calums wedding. I photographed Megans brothers wedding a few years back so it was great to be back and see the family again.

Calum and the boys arrived in style, looking smart in front of the castle backdrop.

The white flowers worked perfectly in the glasshouse and looked like a dream! Megan wore a stunning gown whilst she was getting ready which added to the elegance of the day.

Megans Mum helped her get dressed to do a reveal with her bridesmaids and her Dad who got a wee bit emotional.

Their beautiful ceremony took place in the glasshouse which means lots of light with none of the weather elements - this is one of my favourite ceremony rooms!

We gathered everyone outside for confetti and then the happy couple took a quick trip in the wedding car for some time alone. Once we came back we done group photos as guests had a drinks reception in the gardens.

The driveway and the castle are the main selling points of this venue so we used that to our advantage.

Guests gathered back in the glasshouse for speeches - look at the tables, just stunning!

We were so lucky with the weather - after dinner we caught the last of the sun light for a beautiful golden hour!

For the evening reception guests moved over into the marquee for a party vibe! Megan & Calum cut the cake and took to the floor for their first dance. Megan then danced with her Dad and family. Then to really pump up the atmosphere they had one hour of Ibiza classics performed by SAXINGH who is just amazing and really gives out that clubbing atmosphere.
