Venachar Lochside Wedding

Venachar Lochside, Callander // July 2022

After doing a delightful engagement shoot with Amy & Michael a few months previous I was extra excited to be part of their wedding day. They both are people who like to have fun and will laugh at any situation thrown at them. They put so much thought into their wedding and chose the gorgeous Venachar Lochside for the stunning views. I joined Amy at a local B&B in Callander with her family.

Michael was getting ready just along the road with his best man and family. Both of their families are from Malta so it was an extra special experience for them. I tried to get a shot of the men toasting with Whiskey but it was too early to serve alcohol so I introduced them all to Irn Bru….when in Scotland…

Amy looked stunning in her boho style dress and I LOVED the terracotta bridesmaids dresses!

They drove to the venue in a VW campervan and Amy was walked down the aisle by her proud Dad.

The opted for an outdoor ceremony overlooking the Loch. It was just beautiful and a little windy. David the Humanist always does a fantastic job of telling the couples story of how they met and making all the guests laugh!

Guests threw loads of confetti as they made their way up the aisle.

I took the couple to a woodland across from the venue for some shelter from the wind! I knew that I was going to take them to the beach after dinner so I spent a little time with them here to keep the photos different.

We got caught in a mini wind tunnel and the veil went flying!

Guests mingled inside before they headed upstairs for speeches and dinner. I loved the decor and the gifts of tea for the guests.

After dinner we jumped in the car and headed a little bit along the road to a beach where we got a little glimpse of the sun!

Back at the venue we cut the cake and prepped for a party! I loved Amy & Michaels first dance so much movement and fun!

Guests piled on the dance floor, we popped outside to have some shots, spray some champagne and finally I managed to get the boys their well earned Whiskey. Thanks so much for having me guys - the best Venachar Lochside Wedding!
