A Crossbasket Castle Wedding
Crossbasket Castle // July 2022
It was a joy to finally. join Laura & Thomas on their wedding day at Crossbasket Castle. Another stunning venue situated near East Kilbride with beautiful gardens and onsite lodges. I joined Laura at one of these lodges as she was getting ready with her maids.
I had the lovely Lee Fletcher who was second shooting for me. He was with the boys up at the Castle. It was great to have a second shooter so we could capture a bit more of the day.
Laura made a stunning bride, I loved the full length sleeves and the detail on the back of her dress. Her Dad looked so emotional when he saw her for the first time.
We travelled across the grounds where Tom and guests were waiting in the ceremony room. Tom looked so happy to see his bride. They had a lovely ceremony involving a traditional Scottish hand fasting.
After the ceremony guests lined up to throw loads of confetti and they headed up to the Castle to meet their gorgeous fur baby Mirren - she was the cutest Dogsmaid ever!
Guests mingled outside as we done family photos and then I took Laura & tom for a walk around the gardens.
As guests filtered in to be seated for dinner, I got some photos of the couple at the front of the castle and inside. They entered the hall via the balcony were guests applauded as they walked down stairs. We were then treated to some funny speeches.
I got another few moments with Laura & Tom after dinner. Its always good for photos after dinner as the wine and beer kicks in!
Our final tasks were cake cutting and party! But not before Laura and Tom took to the dance floor for the traditional first dance.
We got some great shots of a busy dancefloor and then it was time to leave! Thanks so much for having me guys - it was a gorgeous Crossbasket Castle Wedding.
