A Mount Stuart Wedding on the Isle of Bute
MOUNT STUART HOUSE, ISLE OF BUTE // SEPT 2021
Definitely any venue on the Isle of Bute holds a special place for me. Ive probably harped on about this many times but I grew up here and now return frequently for weddings, I also get free digs (thanks Mum) and know the island and locations on the back of my hand. It’s a comfort but also a personal challenge to make each wedding different. Today Chloe and Ian were finally getting married after a few covid delays. I met Chloe at Mount Stuart where she was getting ready with her Mum, bridesmaids and flower girls.
It was an extra special day for Chloe’s Mum, Janine, watching her only daughter get married but also as the local florist prepping all the flowers and decor for the day!
Chloe’s Dad escorted her to the local church for the ceremony. She attracted quite a crowd outside.
Ian looked a bit nervous as his bride walked down the aisle but I think nerves fizzled out as soon as he saw her.
After the ceremony we headed back to Mount Stuart with all the guests for drinks and canapes.
I took the couple for a quiet walk around the grounds.
I absolutely love using the rooms in Mount Stuart for photos too.
After speeches we headed to a nearby beach for a few more photos.
I loved this driveway with the line of trees!
We headed back to the house for the first dance and a great big party! Thanks so much to Chloe and Ian for having me!
