Altskeith House Wedding
Aug 2021 // Altskeith House, Aberfoyle
Third time lucky for Maria & Richard who had been planning their wedding from England! Finally they got the day they deserved! They chose the rather beautiful and intimate venue, Altskeith House. Situated on the banks of Loch Ard, its surrounded by hills and so peaceful. A perfect place to get married! I joined Maria as she was getting ready in her room with her bridesmaids.
Richard welcomed the guests as the rain started to clear up. Alison, the fabulous owner and weather predictor decided it would be safe to have an outdoor ceremony.
Maria’s Dad met her at the bottom of the stairs and walked her down the aisle to Richard. They had a beautiful Humanist ceremony under a large weeping tree in the garden. A piper then piped them up the aisle as husband and wife.
We organised a big line so all the guests could throw confetti and then drinks and canapés were served.
I took Maria and Richard to the beach over the road for some photos of just the two of them. The ideal location of this venue means we don’t have to travel far for photos.
Guests were then invited into the dining room for speeches and dinner.
In typical Scottish fashion after the morning rain comes the amazing evening sunset! and I never miss it, it was time to pop Maria & Richard out for a few more photos. I absolutely loved the evening skyline.
Finally the band were set up and it was time to party! Maria & Richard took to the floor for their first dance and then everyone joined in! It was a fabulous day, thanks so much to Maria & Richard for choosing me!
