A Wedding at The Den at Culross

THE DEN AT CULROSS // AUG 2022

After a super fun Engagement shoot, I was excited to work with Helen & Allan again. They both brought a lot of laughter and silliness to their shoot and that is something I love, people who don’t give too much thought about being in front of the lens. I joined Helen and her maids as they were getting ready at her parents house.

Helen wore a beautiful off the shoulder gown with blush undertones. Helen looked stunning and the family were very emotional as she came downstairs.

I arrived at The Den at Culross to meet the boys - it was a very hot day and guests were already gathered in the courtyard enjoying the sun.

Helen and her Dad arrived in a gorgeous vintage car. Allan was slightly nervous waiting her arrival.

They had a beautiful ceremony with lots of laughter and stories about how they met. Guests cheered as they kissed and walked back up the aisle together as husband and wife.

We arranged all the guests outside for the longest confetti line ever!

After photos with the car and family photos, I took the couple for a few photos around the farm. Being mindful that the sun was blazing so I kept them in the shade for the first bit.

They decorated the barn beautifully with wild flowers and lots of DIY - I really loved that they had their own chilli sauce made for guests to take home.

As guests made their way in for dinner, I managed to get some gorgeous photos with the courtyard empty.

We enjoyed some very funny speeches from Helens Dad, Allan and his best man.

After dinner I took them to the wheat fields at the back. The sun was very much still quite high so I planned to do another one after some dancing.

Helen & Allan cut their cake and took to the floor for their first dance. Helen then danced with her Dad whilst Allan got a wee dance with his Mum. These moments are always so special.

In true Jacqui style, I couldn’t leave without getting some sort of golden hour tones from the sun so I called a very merry Helen & Allan out for one last shoot - only a few minutes - then I left them to party the night away.
